Purpose: Binding tape serves multiple functions, including:
- Edging and Reinforcement: Providing a neat, durable edge to textiles, garments, bags, upholstery, and other fabric products, preventing fraying and adding strength.
- Document Binding: In some contexts, particularly for thermal binding or bookbinding, it can be a strip with an adhesive (often heat-activated) applied to the spine of documents to hold pages together.
